Maura FitzGerald, Partner
Maura FitzGerald developed and managed innovative public relations programs at several leading agencies before founding FitzGerald Communications in 1993. Known for superb strategic counsel and an unmatched, results-oriented approach to client service, FitzGerald Communications was one of the fastest growing high-tech PR firms in the country, with more than two hundred employees in five offices across the U.S. Under Maura's leadership, the agency's teams created and implemented award-winning programs for some of the most successful and innovative companies in technology, including Great Plains, iQVC, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Software.com and Stamps.com. FitzGerald was acquired by Omnicom in 2002.

With her ability to create highly effective public relations and communication initiatives, leverage her extensive influencer network and provide business insight based on her own successful career as an entrepreneur, Maura is building Version 2.0 to be the best communications agency for a new generation of entrepreneurial organizations, interested in combining the best of traditional public relations with the possibilities of social media and digital influence.

Jean Serra, Partner
Prior to co-founding Version 2.0 Communications in 2006, Jean was a senior vice president at leading tech PR agency FitzGerald Communications. During her decade-long tenure at FitzGerald, Jean developed award-winning strategic communications campaigns and managed her teams in their flawless execution. She represented many of the agency’s emerging growth clients as well as established market leaders including Texas Instruments, USi and GTEinternetworking (now Genuity).

Jean brings to clients an unmatched depth of industry expertise in the enterprise, consumer and professional services sectors earned when she held senior account management positions at FitzGerald, Fleishman-Hillard and Red Whistle Communications (a WeberShandwick company). Earlier in her career, Jean gained client-side experience as manager of corporate communications for venture-backed NetMorf, a mobile application software provider.

Meghan Gardner, Vice President
Meghan brings a decade of marketing communications experience to Version 2.0. During her career, she has developed, managed and executed communications programs for a variety of clients in the technology space, including such high-profile brands as Yahoo! and Netscape. She has also spearheaded marcomms programs designed to raise visibility in the US for PA Consulting Group and Wood Mackenzie, leading consulting and research firms headquartered in the UK. Her background includes experience working in sectors including business-to-consumer and business-to-business technology, financial services, green tech and the life sciences.

A talented wordsmith, Meghan provides day-to-day team leadership, strategic counsel and account oversight to Version 2.0 clients. She is skilled at translating technology jargon into media-friendly messages to help clients develop thought leadership platforms that place them above the fray of industry noise. Her media relations skills have generated recent coverage for clients in Fast Company, Financial Times, New York Times, Smart Money, CNET and a variety of technology and trade publications.

Katelyn Holbrook, Vice President
Katelyn sets the strategic direction for communications programs and leads account teams in delivering stellar results. She has extensive experience with emerging growth clients and established market leaders across a number of technology market segments, including marketing, supply chain, mobility, networking and business intelligence. Prior to joining Version 2.0, Katelyn held in-house marketing roles in the hospitality and commercial real estate sectors.

A digital native who joined Facebook when it still required a .edu email address, Katelyn is passionate about helping clients embrace emerging social media and data-driven strategies while maximizing the value of traditional PR tactics. As a result of this approach, her clients have appeared on the front page of The Boston Globe and The New York Times' business section; contributed their expertise to The Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and VentureBeat; led discussions at SXSW, O'Reilly conferences and TechCrunch Disrupt; and created compelling infographics, eBooks, and trend surveys that delivered measurable business results.
